WELCOME

 

Rooh is a membership-based online community and app built for South Asians (and friends of the culture) who want a better, more intentional way to connect. By applying to Rooh, joining our waitlist, attending events, or using our app and services (collectively, the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy.

 

We’re creating a safe and self-aware space for modern South Asians — one built on respect, culture, and authenticity. That means we expect everyone to uphold the spirit of the community.

MEMBERSHIP & APPLICATION

 

  • To join, you must be 18 or older.

  • Applications are reviewed by our team. We reserve full discretion over who is granted membership.

  • If not accepted immediately, applicants may be placed on a waitlist for future review.

  • By applying, you agree to receive emails and texts about your application, membership status, and Rooh events.

 

 

ACCOUNTS & SUBSCRIPTIONS

 

  • Once accepted, you may be asked to choose a paid membership plan. Subscriptions auto-renew until canceled.

  • Payments are processed securely by third parties (e.g., Stripe, Apple, Google). Rooh does not store payment details.

  • All membership and event fees are final and non-refundable, except as required by law.

  • You are responsible for maintaining your account’s confidentiality and ensuring your information is accurate.

 

 

COMMUNITY STANDARDS

 

Rooh is designed to be safe, respectful, and culturally rooted. You agree to:

 

  • Treat all members with respect and discretion.

  • Not screenshot, copy, or share other members’ profiles, content, or communications outside the app.

  • Not post or share content that is offensive, abusive, discriminatory, obscene, illegal, or promotional.

  • Not harass, exploit, intimidate, or misrepresent yourself.

  • Use Rooh for personal, non-commercial purposes only.

 

We may suspend or remove any member who violates these standards — at our sole discretion.

 

 

USER CONTENT

 

  • You are responsible for any content you post (photos, bios, messages, etc.).

  • By posting, you grant Rooh a license to use that content solely to operate, promote, and improve the Service.

  • We may remove any content that violates these Terms or harms the community experience.

 

 

EVENTS

 

  • Rooh may host or promote in-person events. Attendance is at your own risk.

  • We are not responsible for the conduct of members or the safety of venues. Please use caution and respect others at all times.

 

 

DISCLAIMERS & LIMITATIONS

 

  • Rooh does not conduct background checks or guarantee member compatibility.

  • We are not responsible for user conduct, whether online or offline.

  • To the fullest extent permitted by law, Rooh disclaims liability for damages arising from use of the Service, including emotional distress, personal injury, or financial loss.

 

 

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

 

  • Rooh owns all rights to the Service design, branding, and content (except user content).

  • You may not copy, modify, or distribute our intellectual property without prior written consent.

 

 

TERMINATION

 

  • You may cancel your membership at any time in-app.

  • Rooh may suspend or terminate accounts at its discretion, including for violations of these Terms or community standards.

 

 

CHANGES TO TERMS

 

We may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version will always be available at roohapp.com/terms. Continued use of the Service means you accept the updated Terms.
